Support what you love:  Charitable tax receipts for 2024 extended until end of February

Make a donation until February 28 and receive a tax receipt for 2024.

The Government of Canada announced an extension of charitable donations for 2024 until the end of February 2025. This means, it’s still possible to receive a tax receipt for 2024.

As a science-based conservation non-profit, Raincoast relies on the generosity of donations from individuals and businesses over the holiday season to fuel and further impact our work for the year ahead. The postal strike negatively affected many non-profits as people lost confidence their contributions would arrive in time.

Our annual report, Tracking Raincoast into 2025, has started to arrive in mailboxes. If you haven’t already received it, keep your eye out as Tracking 2025 can be expected to arrive shortly.

Your support is vital for us and it means we can continue our work safeguarding the lands, waters, and wildlife of coastal BC.

Raincoast’s in-house scientists, collaborating graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and professors make us unique among conservation groups. We work with First Nations, academic institutions, government, and other NGOs to build support and inform decisions that protect aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, and the wildlife that depend on them. We conduct ethically applied, process-oriented, and hypothesis-driven research that has immediate and relevant utility for conservation deliberations and the collective body of scientific knowledge.

We investigate to understand coastal species and processes. We inform by bringing science to decision-makers and communities. We inspire action to protect wildlife and wildlife habitats.
